 We worked on...

• Science experiments. 
• Researching Alberta's regions. 
• Learning a new song for Remembrance Day, watched Skeleton Dance, and played a game in music. 
• Skittle soccer in gym. 
• a game called "I Spy" in math. 
• Learning to read facial expressions. 
• Reading. 

October 26

Today we enjoyed...

• Symbols of Alberta.
• Book exchange.
• Playing a math game. 
• Hoop puzzle in gym (traffic jam). 
• Reading.
• Writing stories (some of us are authoring books). 
• Calgary Public Library presentation - Digital Collection. 

The sun has been rising later, but continues to be colourful. 

 

October 25

 Some of our learning included...

• Submitting questions for Mayor Jyoti Gondek, as she will be virtually reading to us on Monday (Halloween). 
• Challenging group work in gym, crossing the lava. 
• Secret Path - summarizing the Chanie Wenjack's story. 
• Home Reading chart was filled out the package is in backpacks. 

October 24

Some of our work today included: 

• Empathy map for Morgan, in Barren Grounds. 
• Laptops for writing and research. 
• Medicine wheel, adding healthy lifestyle choices. 
• Indoor recess break in the afternoon. 
• Math game - "target". 

October 19

 Today was "Take Me Outside" day! It was gorgeous weather for us. 

Some of our learning included...

• Sun print art at the pond. 
• Scavenger hunt in nature. 
• Scoops and ball toss in gym. 
• Drama and writing interesting sentence starters. 
• Math problem solving, finding the difference between numbers. 
• Book exchange. 
• Reverse transparency art outline.

• A successful fire drill (during PE). 
• Laptops - speech to text or typing our Alberta Gem story. 
• Music - recorders.
• Playground with a grade 5 class.
• Math game, "Jackpot 9". 
• Frisbee in PE. 
• Social Skills story, "Should I Think it or Say It?"
• Reading quietly. 
• Wink Doctor.
